Nothing says “Happy Birthday, America” quite like this Fourth of July Fruit Pizza. Its sugar cookie crust topped with frosting and fresh berries is the perfect patriotic treat. In this recipe sugar contributes to both flavor and texture. Sugar sweetens the cookie crust and makes it golden brown as it bakes to the perfect temperature. The sugar in the frosting ensures that the frosting is stiff and doesn’t ooze off the pizza. Enjoy this treat next week for the Fourth of July and all summer long. The only thing better than its delicious flavor? It’s simple to make.
